kaleigh and joseph had their engagement session back in december of 2015. this was the first time i got to meet joe. joe is absolutely the sweetest guy and i love how he loves kaleigh. i’ve known kaleigh since she was 3. her cousin was my neighborhood friend growing up, so whenever they babysat kaleigh i got to see her 🙂

kaleigh and joe’s wedding was one of the sweetest weddings. their true personalities showed through in every detail!

their wedding day began with kaleigh and her bridesmaids getting ready upstairs in the bridal suite at the brickhaven in cullman. once the girls were ready, i went over to check on joe and his groomsmen. they were almost ready and then it was time for the first look.

joe got kaleigh a wedding present…a nerf gun! how fun is that?!

i always love when my couples decide on a first look. it gives us so much more time for bride and groom portraits because we aren’t having to do 2 and 3 variations of every formal portrait! it’s an all around win win!

kaleigh also did a first look with her father!

after the first look, we did formal portraits with their family and bridal party. we did them all inside the venue because it was so hot and humid outside!!! thank goodness the brickhaven is a gorgeous venue 🙂 it made formal portraits that much more special. 

after the hustle and bustle of formal portraits, everyone went their separate ways to prepare for the ceremony! kaleigh and joe’s ceremony was so sweet. kaleigh’s friends dad officiated the ceremony, so it was a very personal message that was delivered to all of the wedding guests about kaleigh and joe.

upon leaving the ceremony, you could just see the excitement on their faces!!! i know couples are always relieved once the ceremony is over, not just because they’re married, but because everything they’ve planned thus far for their wedding is finally coming to a close and they can just celebrate!!!

the reception held great food, lots of dancing and a wonderful band for entertainment!

as the reception came to a close, they did the bouquet and garter toss and then a few more songs to dance to and then it was time for some sunset portraits!

after sunset portraits, kaleigh and joe went back to prepare for their grand exit….a sparkler exit! it was still light out, but it was still gorgeous!!

kaleigh and joe’s wedding day was just so sweet and it warmed my heart to see such a young couple, so in love and ready to start their lives together as a married couple. i cannot wait to see where life takes them!!!
