October 16th, I got to witness my father in law get married 🙂 not only did I get to witness it, I got to photograph it!
Dana has been a part of our lives for a while now, but she stepped in as “Nay-nuh” a few months ago when Rickey FINALLY proposed to her 🙂
It was a beautiful and windy day! I prayed for sunshine and boy did we get it!!!
Dana & Rickey said their vows on the front porch of their big country home overlooking acres of green farmland. With less than 30 guests, it was one of the most intimate weddings I have ever witnessed. Their families were so much a part of this day. It was not only a joining of two people, but two families becoming one. Dana’s grandson, Reid, was one of the ring bearers while Rickey’s granddaughters, Camryn & Katie Claire, served as flower girls. Rickey’s grandson, Walker {my son!!!}, served as ring bearer alongside Reid. Camryn was able to guide the boys along the pathway to perform their ring bearer duties…while Katie Claire led the way dropping dumping flower petals along the way! 🙂
After exchanging vows, the couple made their way to the back porch where their sons were grilling and preparing the reception meal. Every family member stepped in to help whether it was preparing the food, stepping in with moving chairs, corralling kiddos, playing the ceremony music, or photographing the wedding. Everyone had a part and played it so well 🙂
I am so happy for Rickey and Dana and the life that they have ahead of them.
We love you guys!!!
I’m going to quit rambling now and let the pictures speak for themselves!!!!
this lovely cake was made by Sherlene Coffey. it was even more delicious than it looked!!!I caught Nanny & Granddaddy Clemons holding hands during the ceremony 🙂Anna was the only single lady above the age of 6 😉 so naturally, she fought the youngin’s for that bouquet!!! 😉After they cut the cake and fed each other and were all sweet…they smeared frosting on each other’s faces 🙂Reid and Walker play so good together!!! Walker is so grateful for another boy cousin! This kid’s energy level is amazingWe ended the night stargazing before leaving the newlyweds in peace!
