there are just some sessions that click…unicorn sessions, as i like to call them. everything falls into place. the couple’s interaction, the location, the outfits, hair and makeup, the sun…etc. this session, was definitely a unicorn! and to top it all off…i got to shoot film at their session. so when you’re looking through and thinking, these are some the prettiest and most vibrant work i’ve seen her do in a long time… let’s just thank mr. kodak portra 400 for that 😉
i love to shoot backlit because of the warm glow that the sun gives to the scenery and my subjects hair. the evening of liz and nate’s engagement session was definitely a warm, glowing evening! the colors are so beautiful and after a super wet and cold january…we needed it!
i am so thankful for my brides and the thought that they put into their engagement sessions. we go through outfit inspiration, location ideas and then they receive a posing guide to help ease some nerves that tend to creep up around their session time. liz and nate absolutely rocked their session…in fact, they’re going to model for me one day in Birmingham {they’re from Hoover!} for another awesome shoot! i literally cannot wait to have that session!!!!
