when i met jessie and kip for their wedding consultation i was so excited!! most grooms do not choose to come along during the “planning” phase. i’m not sure if he came by choice or not 🙂 but i am grateful he was there because we discussed their engagement session at the meeting. kip shared his love of the outdoors and said that he had a few ideas for engagement session locations. he mentioned proposing to jessie on monte sano mountain, in huntsville alabama and i got so excited!!! i remember going there as a kid and how beautiful it was.

because this location held a special place in their hearts and helps to tell their love story…it was the ideal location to capture this joyous time in their lives!

we hiked over a mile to our first location at sunrise…and boy was it beautiful! the golden glow of the sun rising on the mountainside was absolutely breathtaking. i am so grateful for the cold weather since we hiked uphill…we were able to keep from burning up!

kip also shared his love of black and white photography and boy oh boy was i ecstatic! most people do not love black and whites the way that i do…so i had to make sure there were some gorgeous ones in their gallery.

i am so grateful for jessie and kip and i cannot wait until their beautiful september wedding!!!
