all week i was checking the weather like crazy! this summer, so far, has been one of the coolest summers i can remember. we’ve been blessed with 70º weather for the past few weeks and i was hoping and praying for a cool, rain free day for katie and bryan’s wedding day! although it was a little cloudy on their wedding day and we had some fierce wind, it was a beautiful day!

katie and bryan started their day with friends at the huntsville country club. while katie was getting her hair and makeup done by madeline hulsey while sitting in a brightly lit room with her closest girlfriends, bryan was out playing golf with his best friends. while i photographed the bridal details in the bridal suite i couldn’t help but smile at all of the giggling and excited shouts from the bridesmaids. there is nothing quite as exciting as the pre-ceremony time between the bride and her friends!

katie and bryan’s day was one filled with sunshine, laughter, love and family. their ceremony was at katie’s home church and was one of the most lovely ceremonies i’ve ever witnessed. the joyous look on their faces when they were announced mr. & mrs. vandiver was one of my favorite shots! but i’m saving that one for the bride and groom to see first 🙂

their first look is one to remember…bryan was literally speechless when he first saw his stunning bride. his hand went straight to his mouth as it gaped open. katie was equally as excited! i am so grateful for brides and grooms that are as excited as i am on their wedding day!
