Anna and Jake’s wedding day was so beautiful! I say this about every wedding…but their wedding day truly was one of beauty! There was a 20% chance of thunderstorms all day but we were blessed with some beautiful sunshine that would pop out every few minutes! The clouds helped keep us from baking under the sun. My only complaint of the day was the humidity!!! But it’s Alabama….so yeah 🙂

Anna and Jake started their day with their best friends by their side. The bridesmaids were listening to music and getting ready as I walked in to greet my excited bride!!! She was one of the most relaxed brides. She was ready for the day to start and to begin her forever 🙂

Jake and his groomsmen arrived just in time for the first look!! The first look took place on a circle balcony overlooking the lake. It was so pretty!!! Jake nervously awaited his bride while she walked across the bridge and down the stairs. As soon as she could reach him she tapped his shoulder. He twirled around and immediately gasped at the gorgeous bride standing before him. In an instant, you could see the look of relief wash over both of their faces. For that brief moment…the humidity didn’t matter, the chance of rain didn’t matter. The only thing that mattered to them was that the other was standing before them!

I love relaxed and fun wedding days! I love being able to capture the in between moments without the stress of rushing from one place to the next. Anna and Jake’s wedding day was just that. Relaxing.

Their closest friends and family gathered at the ceremony site. The sound of excited chatter filling the tall wooden chapel. As the music began, the groom walked his mother down the aisle with his father close behind. The bridal party began to walk to the sound of their music, lining the front of the chapel where the bride and groom would soon say their vows. As the doors opened, revealing Anna and her father standing there…you couldn’t help but hear the excited sound of people standing and gasping! Anna kept her eyes on Jake as she walked down the aisle with her father. The sweet look of pure joy across their faces!

After saying their vows and taking communion, they were pronounced husband and wife… 🙂

Anna and Jake were joined by everyone at the ceremony, for their reception. They feasted on fruit, ice cream with the most wonderful toppings and of course….wedding cake!!!

It was such a fun day to document and to watch unfold. I am truly in love with this couple and this venue!!!
