kelsey + alex…i don’t even know what to say! your wedding day was a dream!
the bride and groom’s day started early in the morning with hair and makeup for the ladies and 200+ chick fil a chicken nuggets for the groomsmen (the tray was completely empty by my arrival though!)
the bridesmaids were giggly and chatty when i arrived to the bridal suite, while madeline hulsey finished up kelsey’s hair and makeup. i have to give madeline credit…she did not only the bride’s hair and makeup, but the bridesmaids (all of them!!!) and the mother of the bride’s! she is amazing at what she does.
once kelsey was ready we got ready for the first look..well, both of the first looks! kelsey had the sweetest moment with her father before seeing her groom. she also used that moment to show her mother the lace that was wrapped around her bouquet. it was a strip of lace taken from her mother’s wedding gown!
when i positioned alex for his first look with his bride, he was a ball of nerves! he stood there, bouncing at the knees…eyes closed, no doubt saying a small prayer! when she made it down the steps and tapped him on the shoulder, he couldn’t have turned around any quicker!!! his eyes lit up and he immediately reached for kelsey! she was in happy tears and he was all smiles. they chose to exchange hand written letters to each other as well as their gifts to each other.
after the first looks, we made our way through downtown cullman and took some of my favorite bride and groom portraits and then ended with bridal party! first looks allow so much more portrait time and i am so grateful that kelsey and alex knew we needed that with their 6pm winter ceremony!
once portraits were complete…we made our way back to Loft 212 and the bride and groom along with their closest friends and their families, hid in their suites! a few minutes later, the music started and an elegant wedding ceremony began. their ceremony was full of laughter, heart felt looks swapped between the bride and groom and some fabulous music by rocket 5’s guitarists. after sharing their first kiss as mr. and mrs. aultman…kelsey and alex made their way to their reception! loft 212 really offers everything in terms of gorgeous ceremony space and reception space! the venue was lit up with twinkle lights and candle centerpieces. absolutely breathtaking. not to mention, the bride’s cake having it’s very own corner for a fabulous display!
kelsey and alex were able to dance the night away to the tunes of rocket 5 and have the best time with those closest to them…friends, family and some of the most amazing vendors i’ve ever worked with! it truly was a night to remember.
