kristen and austin’s wedding day plans changed numerous times, as did every other 2020 brides plans! due to uncertain circumstances, kristen and austin decided to change their wedding venue to kristen’s childhood home for their wedding day.

kristen’s childhood home was the perfect setting for their wedding! they said their vows under a beautiful awning with greenery gracing the edges. the awning once served as a swing set for the family full of girls and a larger swing for their parents in the center. since it was a hot july day, they had personalized bottles of water set out in ice coolers for their guests upon arrival. each guest used a separate pen to sign the sign in book, they had access to facial masks and hand sanitizer and all chairs were spaced according to the city and county regulations. although certain protocols had to be followed, i don’t think it took away any of the importance or sacred parts of their wedding day.

guests enjoyed dinner on the back patio, around the pool deck and on their beautiful yard. tables and chairs were set up for guests to be able to comfortably mingle, while still staying a safe distance apart.

kristen and austin decided to enjoy a first look before their ceremony so they could get a little bit of their nerves out of their system! when austin first saw kristen, he didn’t know where to look! her gorgeous dress, her beautiful face, he couldn’t decide and his eyes darted back and forth as a wide smile cracked on his face. he was thrilled and you could tell he thought she was the most beautiful bride he had ever seen.

i enjoyed being a part of kristen and austin’s wedding day. their families were so sweet and welcoming and they all were pitching in and helping all day with florals, decorations, portraits, everything! i am so grateful to have been there to witness it all.

i hope your wedding day sticks out in your minds forever as one of the happiest and most beautiful days ever! although a majority of guests were wearing masks, i don’t think you even noticed because you couldn’t take your eyes off each other. i hope you feel that love and excitement in your marriage for the rest of your lives! thank you for sharing your day with me!
