sweet sweet henri! born during a time when the world is scared and confused…yet you brought light into the world! henri’s newborn session was one i will dream about for years! his parents had the most beautiful nursery ready for him just in time for his arrival and i must say, it was so fun to photograph him in this calming and beautiful room.
henri was a little fussy at the beginning of our session, but it could’ve been because there was this weird photographer lady there in a mask, germ-xing every 10 minutes! he quickly calmed after we did some mother and baby portraits and we wrapped him all snuggly. all he wanted was his mommy…which is okay with me, because i love photographing mothers with their sweet little newborns.
i think the credit for the gorgeous images should go to dad though…he did this accent wall in the nursery a week before henri arrived and it was the best backdrop for their portraits. i cannot wait to see henri at his next session! <3
i would love to say that these gorgeous, soft lit images came from all natural light…but that is not true. this entire session (minus the nursery detail shots), was shot with flash. when a photographer says they’re going to incorporate flash at your session, do not assume it means harsh and dramatic lighting…your photographer should be experienced enough to incorporate artificial light and still make it match their style of photography! basically…no one should be able to tell anything was different 🙂 the reality of this session is that it was cloudy, it was evening and it was pouring rain!
