in case you were wondering…yes 🙂 i’ve created a guide for my couples before their engagement session!!! i have a bridal guide that answers questions about our wedding photography coverage, but now we have something to help put the grooms’ nerves at ease.

the number one comment i get before we begin a session is, “I don’t really know what to do, so you’ll have to pose me!”

this is okay! no one does this everyday…well, maybe a few people, but it’s rare! the first 15 minutes of a session can feel awkward for people who aren’t used to showing affection in public. i want their pictures to look real and natural, without saying, “okay, place your arm here. don’t move. no, do it again”. This is NOT how a session should go. Who leaves something like that feeling confident??  no one. that’s who.

couples should be able to naturally interact in front of the camera at their engagement session, because on the wedding day…9 times out of 10, you will not have an hour with your bride and groom alone. simple as that. this is a warm up, the pre-game practice. THIS is why engagement sessions are so important.

i will be sending out my couples posing guide to all of my new couples before their session. let’s put the groom at ease 🙂 he doesn’t have to perform…he just needs to be okay with loving on his woman!!!
