elyse and adam’s wedding day was above and beyond an amazing day! i always enjoy shooting weddings and capturing love stories…but when the couple is just so completely in love, it really makes my job so much easier and more enjoyable! as soon as i arrive elyse was all smiles and she had that jittery excited pitch to her voice! adam was just as excited, but he showed it in other ways. he was very informative and let me know of any surprises he had a long the way…and i am so grateful! he wrote a special love letter to elyse to read to her during the first look and you could tell she was definitely not expecting that! other than just being completely in love and the sweetest couple ever…they got to exchange vows at sweet seasons farm in mentone alabama. for those of you who are not familiar with sweet seasons, it is a sheep farm that rents out their grounds for weddings, parties, etc. they have someone there that herds the sheep with their dogs so you can actually have them in the background of your portraits if you want to! it was so beautiful to watch the sheep roam behind the bride and groom as they exchanged their vows, overlooking the green field and pine trees. i want to be a sheep farmer now!!!

this has been a strange october. every weekend has threatened rain for my couples’ wedding days and it is always scary for the bride to think that their dream of an outdoor ceremony may be ruined because of some rain drops…but after i shot the details and we were preparing for the couples’ first look…the rain stopped. like, a complete halt! the rain didn’t start back up at all for the rest of the day! although most brides pray for sunshine for their big day, i am so grateful that we had a partially overcast sky. it allowed us to shoot in multiple locations that wouldn’t have been possible if the sun were shining full blast.

elyse and adam, i am absolutely in awe of how sweet and welcoming your family and bridal party was to me and how beautiful everything was on your big day. i am so grateful to have been a part of your intimate outdoor sheep farm wedding 🙂 thank you again for being an amazing bride and groom!!! now…sit back, relax with some coffee, and enjoy your sneak peek blog post! i love you guys!!!
