emma + ethan’s wedding day took place at the beautiful Danclay Farms in Florence Alabama. It was my first time at this venue and I must say, it did not disappoint! emma and ethan were able to get ready for their wedding day, in private locations so that they did not run the chance of running into each other before their first look.

emma started her day with hair and makeup while surrounded by some of her closest girlfriends and her soon to be daughter reese! reese was so observant while everyone was getting ready. i absolutely adore the images that my second shooter got of her getting her makeup done by one of the bridesmaids!

emma’s attention to detail did not go unnoticed! emma had her details ready for me when i arrived so that i could concentrate on capturing the real and raw moments of her getting into her dress after all the arranged detail shots. my brides make this part of the day so easy and stress free by keeping all of their details in a box so that i can get those shots done quickly!

emma’s mother got her in her dress and you could feel the excitement for the first look rising as the moments passed on. after putting on her earrings and her beautiful bracelet, emma was ready to see her groom! i must say…it was one of the most emotional first looks i’ve witnessed so far. you could feel emma and ethan immediately relax once they had seen each other and shared a few moments alone!

after their first look, we went into our romantic portraits and watching these two interact is such a treat! ethan can make emma laugh at any moment. speaking of which…he did so as she was walking down the aisle! the ceremony started and the bridal party had already come down the aisle and they were all lined up, awaiting the bride to make her entry. reese stood at the altar across from her father, ethan, looking on for the beautiful bride that would soon appear. once emma saw ethan standing there, she started to tear up and so did ethan! in an effort to ease the tension and get a smile from his bride…ethan shouted, “Oooooh! Here comes my purdy bride!!!!”

ethan was so right! emma made the most beautiful bride! it was an honor to be a part of emma and ethan’s wedding day and to watch her, ethan and reese become a family!
