meg and matthew’s wedding day was full of smiles, happy tears, memorable moments and some beautiful weather right before the ceremony! it did rain on their wedding day, which is good luck, but it wasn’t until right after the bride made her way into the chapel. it was a wedding day miracle for the sun to be out and shining up until that point.

speaking of miracles, meg’s wedding day was a celebration of the love between her and matthew and their daughter evy. when matthew spotted meg walking down the aisle to him, his eyes teared up and the sweetest smile crossed his face. i just know he was permanently etching that memory into his brain. meg was full of joy and emotion walking down the aisle. her father, was able to walk her down to matthew, thanks to a brave young man that played a part in his stem cell transplant just a year before. meg’s family was fortunate enough to have her father’s stem cell donor arrive right during family portraits, immediately following the wedding ceremony. to be able to meet the man that is partially responsible for your father’s health on your wedding day just blows my mind! it was truly a gift to witness and photograph such a sweet and tender moment.

another one of my favorite moments of the day (two actually!), involve their sweet daughter evy! when meg came out of the house to reveal her dress to her bridesmaids and evy, evy immediately smiled and swept meg up in a hug! i remember being evy’s age and seeing the bride at weddings. i thought she looked like a princess! i can only imagine the sweet thoughts going through her head realizing that this princess would become her mother in a few short hours! the second moment involving evy that i literally had tears for was during the ceremony…by the time meg and her father made it 3 feet from matthew, evy was uncontrollably sobbing happy sobs! it was the absolute sweetest thing i’ve ever seen. the amount of love that was present at meg and matthew’s wedding was unbelievable and such a joy to see! i absolutely love my couples, but i adore their families as well.
