robin and alex’s wedding day was absolutely magical!!! everything about the day lives so vivid in my memory…the giggle of the bridesmaids as i walked up the stairs to the bridal suite, the strum of the guitar as the groom played a soft melody downstairs, the smell of sweet sweet buttercream coming from the cake table and the cupcakes!!!

living in alabama…i don’t see spanish moss often. in fact, i’ve only ever seen in it photographs online or passing through one town on my way to my parents house in florida. when i drove up to the elms of coosada…my heart did a giddy leap! my jaw literally dropped to the floor. there was spanish moss…everywhere!!! and the gorgeous home that serves as the venues main building is simply breathtaking.

watching the way alex looked at his bride, with such admiration, brought tears to my eyes. during the ceremony, as robin walked down the aisle to her groom…i looked at my second shooter who was getting alex’s reaction to his bride walking. she had tears streaming down her face! i was so focused on the bride walking down, that i never looked at alex. looking through the images though…i understand why she was so overcome with emotion for our sweet couple! alex was simply floored with emotion when robin was walking down to him. he couldn’t contain it! want to know a little secret? they had a first look too 🙂 i always warn my brides…just because you got all the ’emotion’ out of the way with the first look…doesn’t mean it won’t come for the ceremony as well.

robin and alex chose to pursue their marriage in a way that was pleasing to God. they remained pure in their relationship and chose to share their first kiss at their wedding!!! so you can imagine the anticipation that was building throughout the ceremony!!! alex kept inching his way closer and closer to his bride. it was the sweetest thing ever!!! once the couple shared their vows, partook in a feet washing ceremony and then shared their first ever kiss…they made their way to the covered building where they danced the night away with friends and family! it was a dream come true for them, I am sure!!!
