taylor and ryan went a route that most couples choose to skip…they had a long engagement! i think they were wise in doing so because of the events going on in the world, they would have been rescheduling there wedding multiple times had they not already decided on a 2021 summer wedding date. so good choice guys! i was thrilled to be able to capture their wedding day.
when i arrived to stone bridge farms in cullman alabama, the bridesmaids were almost completely ready (yay!) and taylor was getting some finishing touches on her makeup by nancy finnegan. it was great getting to finally work with nancy! i’ve admired her work for a long time and i knew walking into this wedding day that my girls were going to be looking their absolute best.
the weather that we had for taylor and ryan’s wedding day is almost unheard of in may in alabama. yes it was hot, but there was a breeze! yes, a breeze! the sun was shining, the birds were chirping and there was the buzz of excitement around every corner. it was so great to be able to enjoy shooting the wedding day and not worry about weather, the schedule, etc. we were ahead of time for almost the entire day and i cannot thank taylor’s wedding team enough for being so good and efficient at what they do!
i’m going to share a little bit of what taylor wrote to me about her and ryan…
How did you meet? We met in high school but did not connect until a year my after graduation! He is a year ahead of me in school but we went to Calhoun together when we first started dating.
How did he propose? He proposed at an Auburn football game in front of Samford Hall. It was picture perfect!
What was your first date? Our first date was to Top of The River in Guntersville. He came to the door to pick me up & even met my dad!
When did you know he was the one? I knew Ryan was the one probably after only two or three months of dating.
