lindsey and jordan got married on a beautiful day this june! we were hoping for sunshine all day, but we were blessed with it until they walked out of their ceremony to head to their reception. the bottom literally fell out of the sky while we drove from central baptist church in Decatur all the way to the witt house in priceville! but as soon as we got there…the rain stopped, the clouds moved away and we got a little glimpse of sunshine.
lindsey and jordan started their day at the witt house with their closest friends and their families to start getting ready for their big day. when i walked into the bridal suite i was so excited to see that lindsey was already sitting there with her makeup done, her hair up and ready to be styled and all of her girls were ready. it is always such a huge relief to arrive and know that things are already running on time!
after lindsey got into her dress and jordan got into his suit, we set them up on the front porch of the witt house and had their first look. as soon as jordan turned and saw lindsey he was all smiles and i mean ear to ear smiles! they were able to stand there on the porch for a good 5 minutes and talk and get to let their nerves rest before starting the biggest day of their lives! we went on to our portrait time with them, then we did bridal party photos and then we got to do a few family photos before lindsey and jordan hopped on the church bus. lindsey has had her heart set on getting to ride the church bus on her wedding day. she said she has spend countless hours on that bus riding to and from church camps and other church functions…it only seemed natural to get to ride in it on the biggest day of her life!
during the ceremony i was able to capture some really sweet moments, but i don’t think there is a single image where every person has dry eyes. it was such a sweet and sentimental ceremony and the guest list included all of lindsey and jordan’s closest friends and their family, as well as past sunday school teachers…every single important person of their lives. weddings are so much more special when you see the love in the guests eyes…even those that aren’t technically family.
once the bride and groom and the bridal party were tucked away on the church bus, they went off to the witt house for the reception! the guests were served jw steakhouse and if i had to guess, it was amazing because just the smell of it made my mouth water. they had cake and banana pudding cups as well. the bride and groom were able to go around their reception hall to meet and talk with most of their guests before their departure! it was a dreamy day filled with love, family and sweet sweet moments.
lindsey and jordan, i know you’re on your honeymoon and won’t see this right away…but just know that i feel beyond blessed to be able to capture this day for you guys and your families. watching you guys from your engagement, to this day has been such a treat. i wish you even more love and happiness than you felt on this day!!! i love you guys!
